  1. Anthony- you would again be one of a kind at the event, which is always admirable. Are you thinking street car?

  2. Nope.
Thinking more about the RPU pieces
But around here you could drive it just about anywhere.

I remember well cars like that racing in Illinois and Missouri in the '60's when I was a kid. I would love to find a '40 old timey circle track car!

@anthony myrick, first off awesome place eh!, second...do you have a shot like the first image but showing the whole side profile...that rear fender treatment looks pretty swoopy...

  8. A guy he knows that collects old race beaters is trying to trade him out of it.

At least it might end up at a good home.
The owner said that the guy wants to make it track worthy

    from Minnesota

Different eras different times. I grew up watching 39-40 Ford coupes beating and banging at the local track.
A friend 10 years older used to watch 32-34 coupes swapping body panels when he was a kid.
I'm trying to get my hands on a Model A coupe that was last raced in the early 60's.
When I got started racing you could buy 64-65 Chevelle 2 door hardtops for $50-75 and a few were SS's.
Just old rusty clunkers that were perfect fodder for the beginner stock cl***. Bouncing off another car was allowed.
We had a blast. Ran 3 nights a week. Raced for beer money. Body too beat up...go get another one. Zero regrets.
The hand wringers will always be around. Grab a towel for the tears about how many 'cl***ics' were lost.
