  1. Ok, I hit my head real hard and I forgot what day it was... actually I'm just really excited about some recent art stuff andI couldn't wait to share. I've been working with Travis (WLSPDSHOP) on some stuff for his coupe and this is what came of it. I'm going to add a few things to the color version and sell some prints:

also, weldit saw that sketch and wanted his tudor done in just the same style, so I drew this:

    Nate,

I love the color/shading, it adds another dimension to your work.

Here is a pinstripe paint color display I did for ALSA, it's 11" X 28". It should be coming to a paint store/dealer near you soon.

  6. Nate, I love your style man, I wish I could sketch cars like you do. I love the pencil marks and the hand-drawn quality of the sketches, so to me the cleaned-up and colourized version loses something (like taking a barn-find car and turning it into a high dollar ride). Still very cool and great work.

Awww, what the hell, Another one....

And some info for those who like to read a little about the art. What you see going on here is my attempt to paint with acrylics and make them look as nice as one shot.

Now, working on canvas, thats more difficult than painting one shot on metal..at least its more difficult to get the paint to look relatively smooth. One shot lays down like butta for the most part and with acrylics, you gotta work at it. ehhhh too much info......Its an ongoing process. I'm pleased with the results. ;)

I'm also working on blending the acrylics with the airbrush to somewhat get the effects of painting with oil paints. I'm trying to get the paintings to look like I didn't use an airbrush....more or less. Sometimes I really like the look the airbrush makes. I really get off on the juxtaposition of the fuzzy airbrushing against the hard lines of the outlines and brushed on acrylic paint.

    ehhhh....again, probably too much info.

    Man, those aren't shitty!

You are being way too modest.

Are you using a marker for the black out lines?
    Just wondering......

The one on the right is my favorite of yours so far. Very cool.

We should have an exclusive MONSTER T-SHIRT art show some friday on the HAMB. Nobody would be allowed to post anything except monster shirts....

    .....Heeeeeyyyyyyy Von Franco...you listening?

    BAAAaaarnnnett....are you out there.

    K-member....get those brushed fired up.....

Johnny and Kali.....heeeeeeyyyyyyy what do you think?

    BOOM BOOM....You in?????

    What do you say Krup???

I think it sounds like fun. Of course we'd have to get tough with anyone caught posting anything other than a MONSTER shirt....

    :)

    COOL Man...sick and nasty. hehe.

    Thanks!
Your stuff along with Franco, and Boom Boom is inspiring me.
Yep, just black sharpies and spray cans so far, real old school:D

I have no art background what so ever so I'm still figuring out shading. forget color!

I WILL air brush shirts some day. It's too much fun to not try my dang'dest to get half way good at it.
I'm trying to get my designs sketched and inked with a bit more detail on paper before I try a shirt.

Man, an all monster shirt art show would be bitchin'!
    Let’s do it!

Ehhh what the hell, here is another
Barnett owns this one....its an oldy but a goody.

    Title: Rat Fuck.

Funny that I read about a week ago that Roth originally called RAT FINK, Rat Fuck....later changing the FUCK to FINK to satisfy the general public.

....hmmmm....moral of the story, its very difficult for a fella to be 100% original nowdays. :D
