Super Stock & Drag Illustrated ????

Was in highschool in the 60's. I usually bought every drag related/hot rod mag that hit the stands each month. SS&DI was always my favorite by far. Glad someone mentioned it, I'd forgotten all about the tech articles and car builds that used to be in many of the mags in those days.

Still no idea of the date of the last issue...didn't they have a short return to publication in the mid 1990's ?

They were still going strong in the mid 90s with no break that I know of. Those were Collison years.

 

I have a few stashed myself, it seemed like a mag that was more in tune with what I was doing, little guy racing per say. It had some great tech in those pages as well and i always looked forward to the next issue.

Yep! 1994 SS&DI Nationals at Maple Grove...I was in the TAD finals against Bill Reichert.

 

Anybody remember a SS/DI editorial ***led " If I were the King of Drag Racing"?
