This car is from Bolivar, MO.....super nice job with a hemi. It is a Dodge rather than Chrysler, but pretty much the same thing.
rosco gordy...it was for sale locally for ever and a friend od mine told me about it...we went and looked at it and I had to have it....got it super cheap!
At first i didnt think a chop would look good but now im totally for it! I say Chop it and definately put the skirts on! Awesome ride man!
Some time back someone posted a photoshop of one of these cars where he had extended the front of the rear fenders forward several inches and I thought that mod made a huge difference. It made the rear fenders look larger which helped to balance them out with those huge front fenders. It really gave the car a whole new & more balanced look. If I was building a custom out of one of these, I would definitely stretch the rear fenders forward.
thanks Gary.C I think you nailed it! I'll be putting build picts up soon, I just got the custom ch***is done and we just got the body on the frame, so i will be starting on frenching the headlights first, then the making the modifiying the wheel wells, then channeling the body..I so stoked thanks everbody for you thoughts and input...keep the suggestions coming, I have a general idea on the direction i'm going but i am open to suggestions Thanks HELLVIS
I took a screen capture of the photoshopped car Cleatus is referring to a couple of months ago. If interested you'll find it in "Photoshop thread to end..." thread. There are also some other tricks like chopping and lenghtening the roof and tilting it backwards in that plan. You've got a cool battleship Hellvis - with or without the modifications!
no, that car belongs to Greg Pittman, and lives right here in Colorado Springs, Colorado (actually Pueblo nowadays). For those of you who don't know the car, the biggest thing to keep in mind about this one is that it has the front clip off of a straight eight car--extending the wheelbase and the hood length. He did this on purpose to exaggerate the body to roof proportions with the chop.
NO chop is really needed I don't think.. the car is so long.. If you do skirts, do the front wheel opening's too!!!!
