Since i just bought a brand new truck a month ago and a '49 Dodge yesterday, i have to score her high. She is not obsessive about cars, but does put up with my obsessive, compulsive car disease. I'll give her a solid 9.

Like I always say, when it comes to cars my wife and I have an understanding. I buy cars, she understands.

Mine thinks she's a 10 but the reality of it is she ranks about a 1.5. Guess thats why she's on her way out the door.

I get good support from my wife, as long as I don't involve my girlfriend.

My wife just surprised me with a chopped 51 shoebox project I've been having my eye on for Father's Day!

I would say mine started off a 10.....together 17 years, I think she thought I would grow out of the whole car thing!!!! Wrong... She supports me and wants me to finish my current ride, hates it when I trade or sell and start over!!! I would say now she is in the 7-8 range.Cool with with me, I could not be with anyone that would not let me do my thing!!!

I can so relate to this ^^... My wife always met each new purchase or project with the same enthusiasm I did. Easy 10+... But my restlessness when it comes to cars has hardened her; she gets attached and I get ready to move on to the next one. The final straw for her was when I sold our '61 Corvette. Guess I should have seen that one coming since we got married sitting IN the car! Now she just tolerates it but I miss her getting jazzed about stuff like I do...

Coming up 52 years and still a strong 10. I thought I would build and sell my 24 T but she said to just make more room and keep it as well as the 56 C--v and 40 ford. Earlier in our years when I wanted to break into our piggy bank I would ask if she thought she would miss the funds in 6 months. Now when I am trying to decide whether to buy the cheaper or a little more expensive item she smiles and asks "will you miss the money 6 months from now?" She is a keeper.

I would say 8. Doesn't want me draining the savings on the project, but loves driving an hour through the countryside to a trad and kustom shows. Even came home the other day to find my Hot Rod magazine open on the table, just had come in the mail. She said, "it has some good stuff in it!" That made me smile - big time. She is awesome.

I would say 6 she doesnt like shows but she knows I love to work on cars, never complains about me buying parts. And even though she doesnt care she listens and remembers what I tell her, shes amazed the hell out of me. Even asked me to build her one someday.

    Probably a hard "zero".
She's pissed that I spend time and money on my cars.
As you can tell I could care less I love my time working on my cars.
Needless to say I sleep alone many nights.

My former feigned interest but wouldn't get dirty. I'd rate her a 3. She loved the car and going out with the kids but left the major work etc to me. Current is 7 1/2, loves the car scene, getting down and dirty and is keen to learn new skills as my trades assistant (TA). She's just as happy to watch me curse under my breath when things don't go according to plan.

A solid 8, helps out in the garage, wants to know about how things work, gives her opinion on things, but not pushy, just gives a different perspesctive. Loves going to cruise nights and car shows. When I went to look at the '50 Merc barn find, she told me to make sure I brought it home!

  27. 2 wants it out of the garage and doesn't want any money spent on it, but likes me to have a hobby

I'd say a 7, she has greatly improved over our 14 years of marriage :) I can pretty much buy/sell as I want. She helped me put the windshield in my '51 F1 not long ago, so that's a plus! I think she likes to cruise more than work on them, but the latter seems to be more often, unfortunately!

  29. I agree with that 2000% What a lady and may with God's blessing, you get right back there and build again
