...they throw one helluva shin-dig! Pistons & Paint was a BLAST!! Got to meet a bunch of HAMB personalities I hadn't met yet and hang with the usual suspects I see frequently. Babs and I drove the "Freak-conoline" up to Dallas on Thursday night...smooth cruisin with the inline 6 doin' 70 the whole way with no problems. Man, I love my goofie lookin' van...most dependable ride I've ever owned. AntiChrysler and I got the mini-chopper-trike-o-doom runnin' Friday night and test drove it, full throttle, down the dark alley...too much fun! Had big fun painting and hanging out and ridin' the trike at the P & P show on Saturday. Went back to AntiChrysler's and Laura B's pad after the show and painted some more while AntiChrysler and Johnny Ace and Kali and some of the gang took the mini-trike-o-doom to a lit parking lot and proceeded to maim themselves at break-neck speeds! Got to hang with the two headed, paint slingin, poster makin' monster, Johnny Ace and Kali...two real nice people. Anybody get any more pics? I didn't get any since I was pre-occupied with paint duties. Thanks to Hami and the Chupacabras for a great time and thanks to AntiChrysler and L.B. for their usual abundance of hospitality!! Dan
Two years in a row the Chups have beat the rain...by a nose. Thanks for all the effort to bring a good Hot rod/ art show to big D. Three thumbs up Killer Art, sounds and cars...... had a great time hangin out with all you weirdo's...and I have a hangover to prove it!

That trike does rock!! Its even more fun than it looks!! There were some bad ass cars and artists at the Pistons and Paint show Must give a special thanks to antichrysler for letting me crash at his pad!! I think I lost something on the couch !And to Dan cause i got a bunch a his art in Kansas now ! Love that MOON TANG !!!!

The Chupas rock! Joyce and I had a great time, met some more kick-ass HAMB folks, and walked away with some swag to boot. Here's some pics of the trash can - we plan to drag this around with us and gradually have folks add art to it. Somebody picked the Buick for the Lo-Buck award so we got a killer trophy... plus some HAMILTON art from the raffle and some more BIG RIC striping on the Buick trunk. Kali here... we had the MOST incredible freakin' time!! Getting ready to take a little snooze, but wanted to post a pick of the foot carnage We didn't get a good pic of the big hole in the top of my foot, but the blood caked on the bottom will give you a slight idea, ha ha! Also got the pepperoni knees in the photo... I'm pretty much sportin' the full top 'o the foot road rash thang on both with a little extra gore going up the shins... those damn Flinstone brakes will get ya if you are wearing the wrong shoes... damned girly footwear!! Crease dropped by my house today...he was lovin the Trike -O-Doom...we had that thing absolutely haulin @ss up and down the street today!! Too much fun...most of the time, anyways. I rode the Trike of Doom in the Whataburger parking lot. The front end kept getting shakey on me and my girly arms could'nt control it. Anti C. was trying to get me to get it out on the rode so I could open it up, but due to 7 years of MotoX racing I knew I was in over my head and gladly let Flt-Blk take his turn. Me and Lefty were planning on heading to Anti C's house but had a change of plans after we decided to take his nephew home and meet with the rest of the HAMBer's that headed west to an undisclosed location. Thanks Anti C. for the invite. We'll make it next time. Probably a good thing we did'nt make it cause I'm sure my foot would be in about the same condition or worse. Chup's put on a great show as usual. Can't wait for the next one.
I just want to thank everyone for showing-up to the show. I had a blast. As for the the trike-o-doom, I would like you to know that Kali sacrificed her feet for a beautiful '57 Ford tail dragger that she was about to T-bone.
I was only able to go for a few hours in the early afternoon but kudos to the Chupa's and all involved. Great venue and great people. Was impressed with the variety of cars, bikes and styles. Finally put some faces to to the names and had a very large time. Was wowed by the artists and their unbelievable product. That was one helluva alot of talent in that building. Put this one on the calendar for next year folks. Met with Johnny and Kali and had a good talk. Before I left I got to hug the previously undamaged Kali too..ohhhhhhhh baby. The hell with Johnny and his narrow ass, she is definitly the prettiest striper I know (I SAID STRIPER!). Thanks again to everyone!
ManOMan! I just dont know where to begin! I think I finally recovered enough to reply to the post about the show. First I gotta thank our special guest this year, Johnny Ace & Kali Verra and Dan & Babs Barnett. You guys are inspirational to say the least! Your artistic talent is only equaled by your down home Texas friendliness. (Bless your heart like my grandma always said) Kali, I know your not from Texas but at least ya got here as quick as ya could! I hope your "Trike O Doom" injuries are healing quickly. To sacrafice ones own body to keep from running into a Custom Lead sled was true Chupa courage. Next I gotta thank all that came to the show because thats what its all about! The support from the HAMB members can always be counted on. The other club support was also great. I saw representation from the Coollows, DeadBeats,Lucky 13,Beatniks, Kontenintals,Outkast,& Majestics just to name a few. Thanks to the bands!They had to play in the Texas heat & humidity & They all played thier butts off! The Venders,the Soundman,the list goes on & on. It just goes to show what can happen when the HotRod brotherhood decides to get together for a afternoon of cars, art, music , and friends! Thankyou, Thankyou! Thankyou! Ed Viva La Chupacabras!
man, Boom Boom is dad-gum poetic in his ripe ol age of 30....old cars rule, art rules and when you throw em in a pot and sprinkle it with bikes, cool people and the bravery of our sweet little Kali, all I can say is DAMN, it's a good time to be alive.... thanks again for the support, let's do it again!
Awwwwww... shucks, fellas! Y'all are too sweet. As for the sled, isn't that what anyone would do? Cars heal slower than people... Johnny went out & got me about $60 worth of gauze and fix 'er up gunk... the hole in the top of the foot is healing well... stitches are for wusses! Har har har I'm still peein' my britches over being the first chick Chupacabra.... I didn't know BOTH of us would be gettin' the honors! I'm ate up with PRIDE... we can't wait to get the plaque swingin' in the breeze. The show was absolutely incredible... we couldn't have had a greater time. All those who missed out, get it on the calender for sure next year... you won't be sorry! Well, it's back to work for us until early November... we hope to make the Day of the Drags and get the ball rolling with the various projects we're involved in with several board members. Currently, we are the "Pit Crew" for Hans' Rod & Cycle secret project "The Mighty Viking Head Chopper" Snacky... dude, don't worry... I'm pretty tough for a girly-girl... thanks for being such a sweetheart We can't wait to hit S.C. again to visit w/you guys! FuelFC... the honor was all mine shuga...
