I'm trying to buy a set of new Supreme wheels. I tried to get the Allied Wheel Company ones and they are not making them anymore. Are the Unique ones built very well? I want a set that has the gusset on the back. Any suggestions are welcome. P.S. They are for a 1963 Riviera. Thanks Lumpy
Bueller,Bueller,Anyone? Really I am just looking information on who now makes the best supreme's. I have searched here and the internets but most info is out of date by a couple years. Thanks Lumpy
I've heard that summit has the guessed ones still in unilug I bought a set or a customers car from wheel vinuqes that where direct bolt pattern. Shape was alittle off but the direct lugs I think make up for it. Unless your a die hard supreme guy you probaly wounldnt even notice.
i always buy them from summit and so do my freinds . never any problems, untill me and my buddy made a big mistake at the sacramento autorama this year and bought 6- 14x7 supremes from a vender from so cal advertising special show price under $500 for 4, I REPEATEDLY ASKED are they new and not seconds, was assurred they are new and not seconds and that they open all the box"s and inspect them. we got them shipped to us within 2 weeks, they were shipped in unmarked box"s and when we took them out they were SHIT! WELDING BURNS, BLEMISHED CRAP! we called them and told them everything and they wanted to see the wheels. we told them were in nor cal, they said to send photos of the wheels. we were so pissed off we just decided to not go thru all the bullshit and keep them. will talk to them at next years autorama. anyone buying supremes pm me and i will give you the name of vender.
i want to apologize for venting, they did tell me to send photos and it was my choice to say forget it, im just so mad, besides the burn marks and dullness i had to take a pair of wire cutters to cut off a 1 inch piece of welding wire still on one of the spokes. sorry again for venting. jeff
I have a set of unique supremes on my 60 Cadillac and I think that they were well built. Had them for 2 years and haven't had a problem as far as structure goes. They are built like a Crager SS big inner piece that is welded at each of the spokes. It probably had to be pressed into the actual steel part of the wheel. The chrome on the steel part leaves something to be desired though, started rusting sitting in my garage over winter. -Nick
