I have a 65 riviera with a 5x5 bolt pattern. Does anyone know if standard offset 15x7 style supreme wheels will fit over the stock drums, or if I will have to run the reverse offset style? The stock drums are huge, so I am assuming I will have to run the reverse offset style? Thanks.

ha, just test fit mine on my 65 impala tonight! you're lookin at a comfortable 13.5" across the inside of the rim, where it would actually MEET the brake drum. they get bigger as they go out to the edge, and are about 14.5" across the rim at that point, and these are about 3.5" deep. how's dat for speedy service?

oh yeah, my astros are the regular 15x7 wheels...

The standard offset should fit. I ran a set of 15x7 standard offset on a '57 Pontiac that I had. The only thing that I had to do was take out the bolt that holds the brake drum on so the wheel would seat on the drum. If I remember correctly a buddy of mine had the same problem on a '63 Riviera he had supremes on. Don't remember what size and offset he was running on the Riviera.

Thanks guys for all the advice. I'd rather run the standard offset rather than the reverse. I will post pics once I get started on the project!

Yes I could use a supplier or contact to get this style of wheel. Thanks.

dude, summit sold their last two astro 15x7s to me this week. no kiddin. i wanted a full set of 15x7s, but they only had 2, so i got four 15x8s. mocked one up on the front and found out they will not work on my impala, so i am keeping two for the rear end where there's plenty of room and putting the 7 inchers up front. i think paulsen wheels is a dealer.

Everyone here who's saying they've fit standard-offset 15x7s on "other" makes, have you actually had them on Rivis? Only reason I ask, the fins on the Buicks add like a half inch or so to the overall diameter of the drum. I know (for a fact) that 14s have to be reverse, but to the best of my dusty memory, the 15x6 Radirs I had on my Wildcat and Rivi cleared fine (I just needed a 1/4-inch spacer to accommodate the bigger axle spud).

YEAH i had standard 15s on my 65 lesebre they fit fine, but when i went to 14s i HAD to have reversed. my back drums are 13.25" so the 14s barely cleared even being reversed.

I tried putting some newer style stock 15" rims off of an 90's chevy, and they didn't clear the drums. The car was buried in the dirt with 4 flats an I ended up using 15" rims off an 80's chevy to get it to roll, but they barely fit and the brake drums fins actually hit the rim when i tightened it down. I guess I'm looking for someone with first hand experience with this style of riviera and this style of rim. I will measure a drum tomorrow if you think it will help. Thanks all.

measuring always helps, man. measure across the outer face of the drum, where the lugnuts pass through. if it is less than 13.5 inches, it really oughta fit there. then measure 3.5 inches toward the back of the drum, towards the inside of the car if it were bolted up. if at 3.5 inches in it is less than 14.5 inches, it really should fit. when i measured my wheel i allowed for maybe an eighth of an inch of clearance, give it a shot...
