Thanks for the kind words (i think)! Just a little update. Took the easy way out and just painted the turquise's all one color. Its now ready for some test drives.
WOW! I think it looks great just like that. Now go find some long boards and some vintage surf stickers, and you're set! Oh yea...Hula girl on the dash!!!
Leave the pilars and roof white. Its what a classic wagon should look like. The cragers even look fine.. but do not make it all one color (if you are looking for a surf wagon look.. Where folks get screwed up when building wagons is there is a simple receipe for them. much like a Cal look bug.. keep the body basically as the factory did them, lower them on a rake and add tires and wheels of choice.. thru some stickers in the rear qtr windows (not to many) and roll it... it will get a ton of looks
Bud!!! That looks just right. Nice job, I think your're done now. I have a '90 Buick wagon I just picked up and the head liner has pretty much let go so I'm thinking of going with the wood look. I relly like the way you freshened up the rear cargo area; maybe that's the look I'll go for as opposed to the reed look you've got going. Thanks for the inspiration.
