That comment was not directed at you Ed. I asked what people thought about the artwork, I did not ask for commentary on what you think about people who don't surf owning surfboards.

I'm not going to get into a pissing contest on the internet, that will just make the keyboard smell and probably ruin the computer.

I think the HAMB was better when we talked about HOT RODs.

bitching about a guy with a surfboard while Mazooma's photo thread on El Mirage goes to the second and third page. nice.

Yeah good point, but it helps pass the time if you are stuck at an inside job.

It's a sweet wagon. Beautiful airbrush on the board. Putting them together, while a bit played out, will still get big numbers on ebay all day long (when it's time for the next project) Nice work, looks like it was fun.

I was on my high school surf team and I never flaunted my boards. There was a kid who would run his board on his rack all summer then run his snow skis on the rack all winter, he didn't do either. This guy is just trying to go with a theme on his ride..... I think its cool. What about the guy who runs drag slicks and doesnt race?

That's why we used a Volkswagon hood we found out in the hills! (Or is that the trunk lid?) Pulled behind a 4x4 down the dried up sand riverbed in N.M. Man, 35 mph on a thin piece of metal sure feels like about 100! That was a blast. I had the greatest childhood. Thanks Dad!

As for the raging debate... I like the art and I like the wagon. I'd rather have the board on my wall, but hey that's just me. Do what makes you happy.

Gotta admit, I don't know who Charlie is and don't have a clue what a HODAD is either. Is it ok to ask?

A HODAD would be a poser, a kook, someone who dont surf but hangs out at the beach like he's king shit they usually have to travel quite a distance to get to the beach.

Look up Viet Nam and Charlie in your search engine. As for "Charlie Don't Surf!" watch the movie Apocalypse Now.

    You know, good on ya!
The board looks great, the ride is unconventional and clearly you're not worried about what others say. GOOD FOR YOU!

When you get the chance, how about a pictuer of it outside with the board on it!

Posers? Stealing inspiration? Too much drama on the high seas folks

To be fair, you did ask for, on a public board with 141,769 members, an opinion about an accessory that you have chosen for an already pretty cool car.

Not surprisingly, you got some that you did not like. Given how few disagreeable opinions you got, I'd say you made out just fine.

Surf boards would be rather look like one was "trying too hard to be cool" on a rig that far from the surf wouldn't they?
Not that I don't like them as one time I had big dreams of being a surfer but that's a long way from surf.

Kinda like the guys who take primered Model A coupes to Bonneville and paint numbers and class insignias on them to pose on the salt and in the hotel parking lot. When they aren't racing or connected to a race car with the same number on it.

  20. If you like it, good for you, who cares what other people think or say. In the end it's what makes you happy... am I correct. Nice

The OP is staying on this planet. He is getting left behind. The sins of a poser (and/or bad taste) dictate harsh penalties.
