Close - I believe that's a side street near the Crab Cooker. I used to walk by that house on my way to the pier often.
I love the surf culture, tiki's etc. To me it's all about having fun whether you're a genuine surfer or not. The boards, canoes, picnic baskets, coolers, drive-in trays - it's all fun to me. If you don't dig it, just walk on by. Attached is a woodie from an old Hot Rod and my homage to tiki's on my grille.
I used quik-n-easy roof racks Very vintage looking and still available. check out http://www.nrsweb.com/shop/product_list.asp?deptid=1379
i remember seeing one in a shop back when i was 12 and in AZ. it had cali plates, it was a 56 ford, had the rearend way the hell in the air with the tallest set of wide whitewalls i have ever seen evean till today. not an inch of that wagon was without pinstripes, crasy *** multicolor pinstripes.
Here's some of my surf wagon art. Being from south western Pennsylvania originally and now from Ohio you don't see many waves... but it still captures my imagination. I always thought scooting around on a board in beautiful water was sort of Zen-like.
I like the tiki grill on the first truck in this post. Looks cool I wish I could have thought of something like that.
