The story is he bought it cheap at a garage sale. It's got a 34 frame under it. Used to have a siren mounted up front and a merc flathead. Owner is getting the merc motor redone at the moment. Makes me want to get busy on mine

Man do I love channeled roadsters, and that body is super clean. Very cool little car. Does the side profile still look good with the high arch of the 34 front frame rails?

The guy who owns the roadster brought it over to my friends place to get some help making it road worthy. They are re-doing the brake lines and some of the steering components. several of the tie rods are flopping around scary. I don't know if you noticed but the rear spring u-bolts are cut at the top and semi-welded to the crossmember. My friend is working on the 55 chevy 1/2 ton. He just finished the 30 rpu that was featured in Ryan's roundup blog post. That 34 frame really looks great with the 30 body. I can't figure out what was done to the frame other than the boxing plates you saw on the rear kickup.

Hope they get it all roadworthy, safe, and with 4 Bias ply tires instead of two!

PS- I want that Honda Z50 stuffed over in the corner in the first photo!

yeah TP you and the Kontinentals know who he is... he's finally getting something going with the roadster. My friend has the bias-plys on one side so he can see how much nicer they look. We are trying to make him a HAMBer.... He is coming around :D

  16. It makes me want to start going to garage sales with my wife. All she ever finds is clothes and toys for our daughter and other crap I don't want at our house that eventually ends up in our garage sale. Is there a story and history behind the car and the previous owner as well... plans for the car? Please keep us posted with the progress.
