Yes it has the stock T frame. Not altered in any way as far as I can see.
    No kick up, nothing.
Looks to have the 40 rear end. I'll post some chassie pics. Crawled under it today with my camera.

I've only driven it for a few miles so far. Workes just fine, if you look beyond the flexing, rattling, Skweeking etc. Honest I was quite possitively surprised.
Looks, rides and smells like a model T. :D
Does like straight flat roades the ebst of course.

I think this is a car that would stick in my head, and I don't think it has been featured in my collection of old magazines. Which is pretty large...I do clearly remember several T-V8 touring features in the early fifties mags, and it is not one of them.
Thought...go to Model T part of Fordbarn and ask there if anyone remembers it.

Just like Bruce said I don't ever remember seeing it featured in a magazine. Also I don't remember it from any rod trot or show coverage out of the 70's or 80's but then a lot of guys built and or had rods that didn't do the rod run and or show thing.

A beautiful car that looks like a guy could really get in it and cruise down the road.

That beautifully dropped axle is a work of art in it's own right. It could have been done by one of several shops but the dropped axles from that period are normally attributed to the shops in San Diego hence "dago" axle. Even here in central Washington State dropped axles were known as Dago axles at least up through the 60's.

Not sure how this might help but you never know. It might jog somebody's memory. A photo of former owner Ed Pond with the car, taken on August 31, 2003. Says he had owned it three years at that time (so he bought it circa 1999 or 2000...not 1996 or '97). Also, says that it remains unchanged from when it was built in the Fifties...hmmmmmm. I think that I would remember how I got this car, even if it was ten years ago.

I've contacted Ed again in hope of sorting out some more details regarding dates.
I also have the pic you posted, T-Time. Got it from Ed last summer.
Is it from some mag or something?? May be a wrong print regarding dates perhaps. Ed says he bought it around 96/97. Probably one owner between the first and Ed. Waiting for some detection.

I never realy thought it to be famous/known of any kind, but nevertheless I'm eager to know more about it. There might be a cool old scrapbook in a drawer somewhere. Who knows.

I appreciate any help I can get.
