Hi ! I just wanted to show you the body we've found here in Europe (France). It has been sectionned in a special way and a floor channeled has been built. A friend of us has also found an old mag (1962) which show a car in that kind of style. Do you guys are familiar with that kind of style of Hot Rod ? Do you know the history of that modification ? All info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot !
Very unusual...the dip in the doors (Like Darrin custom bodies) was a common modification here, but that one I think has stock forward part and sectioned rear part, completely transforming the lines.
Well It's Not The Car In The Picture Thats For Sure. Bill Hines Did It To His First Car Back In The 40's. Don't Remember What It Was. A Buick I Think.
that looks kinda like 'the trainwreck'... nah, maybe not... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=74154&highlight=train+wreck
Thanks for your reply For sure, it's not the car in the magazine. We found the car as is, sandblasted and we didn't have very clear info about it's history ...
