Here's a guestion for the guys and gals who drive'em. Static suspension drop or airbags based on a daily driven truck or car for that mater. If static how much before it is too much?

Your "question" and this picture have a lot in common...

might depend on the car? 4" drop on a 60s caddy is not the same as 4" drop on a 30s truck.

So say for a truck like a mid sixties or seventies truck.

    Electrodude: Thanks for the pic!!!
Rusty: It depends. My car has 1" of ground clearance at its lowest point. But it rarely bottoms out, as I only have an 86" wheelbase! Maybe you could tell us what kind of car you're dealing with? Or we can amuse ourselves by guessing what it is. I'll go first: Is it a '38 Ford Standard tudor with stock suspension?

Mid 60s or 70s truck...traditionally, they didn't go down real low....but nowadays kid's will drop them right smack on the ground. I don't know why.

Mid 60's or 70's truck? Are you sure it's not a '38 Standard?

I'm just picking your brains to get an idea what I might want to do with my ole pick it up a '76 Chevy.

Oh. Well, I don't know much about new cars, but I've seen those trucks running around here (fairly good roads) with as little as 3-4" of ground clearance. You might try checking on a late model pickup site.....
