suspension under model a??

what are you model a guys using for suspension? front and rear..what kind of setups and what rear end etc...thanks NAte

 

Someone (myself included) asks about this like once a month. Tried searching the board or the tech-o-matic for some ideas?

I was thinking about a '41-8 Ford front end for the A chassis I have, but I'm not in a hurry and will just scrounge as things come along. Rear, same deal, whatever is handy on an A spring.

I'm running a '31 coupe. I have a Mustang II IFS,including a power rack ont he front end-a lttle bulky but I like it-on the front end. It wqs that way when I bought it. If I was building one from scratch,I like the looks of the drilled staright axle.

I have a 9" Ford rear end with coil-overs. Again the car came this way when I started building it. I like the set-up but I will probably change the coil rate since the car bounces a lot.
