Mom appears ok for now. They have her vitals stabilized and looks like its going to be a couple of days worth of testing to find the answer to her issues. Shes stubborn and hates going to the doctor. Cant blame her. I sometimes feel the same way. Unfortunately shes not been to straight with my sister and everyone else about her medicine intake and what ails her. Looks like she will have a interesting conversation with the family over the next week. She had fluid build up around her heart, was anemic, blood chemistry was all screwed up and appears to have a bleed into the intestinal tract. The excessive aspirin/aleve intake may responsible for much of her current condition but there still is an underlying ill that needs to be diagnosed and corrected. I guess its hell getting old. We still like to think were able to tough out our ills regardless of our age but we all know as we get older the body doesnt respond as well. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. Things will work themselves out over the next couple of days. See ya Saturday Larry
Thanks for the update Larry about your Mother. Prayers indeed worked for our family, so lets keep our pray chain going.
Larry: Glad to hear your Mom is doing better. Sounds like a carbon-copy of my Mother-in-law who is in Palos. Very similar symptoms and doesn't tell us what's going on. She is 90 and just thinks she'll get better on her own. She was in Christ for 4 weeks in October, then went to a Nursing home for rehab and went home. Just one week at home and now it's right back in to the hospital. Fluid buildup around the heart. I went through this with my parents too. My Mother never wanted to "bother" the doctor, then the last time it was simply too late. I know exactly what you're going through and my thoughts and prayers are with you. Let's hope we don't meet at the hospital too much! Jack
Glad to hear Moms on the road to recovery. Had my 91 yr old Dad at Palos last thurs for two pints of blood, anemic also.First time I ever pushed him around in a wheelchair. Kind of a revelation. On a lighter note, my lovely wife[TAP DNSR) got a big kick out of her new license plate. Suggested her hourly wages should at least triple! Thanks guys, Ive been having her practise on me all week...
Larry, Hows your Mom? We're a little concerned we havent heard from you, and I missed breakfast Sat.Thinking about you...
Does anyone organize a cl***ic car Toys for Tots caravan? I see the bikes (I live near Western), and I've seen a group of 4x4 guys too.
The dog sleds and snowmobiles are out and running. There's no excuse to not be there. Unless your taking me on an all expenses trip to Hawaii.
we should be there as well. have to go shopping afterwards, and figght off the last minute shoppers.lol
Won't be able to make it. Have a quick tack weld job to do for a neighbor and then have to drive the wife to her coffee group Christmas party. (it's outside her approved range to drive) Merry Christmas to all. Bob
Who's going to be there tommorrow? Mark's son is coming in at Ohare around 8:30 AM, so I think we will be at breakfast. Unless, I get lazy, and sleep in. Larry, Any photos of Martha's baby? Is Gloria coming for breakfast?
Ok . Enough of this first on the keyboard ****. Who will ( Jim ??????????? ) be starting the New Year out right by being the first to get to Chuck's in the morning or will they be sleepin in again?
Take a look at my posts on the Rockford HAMB and Eggs link, I brought up the idea of a HAMB and Eggs meet and greet at Byron Dragway this summer. Nice cruise, racing going on all day, and we could even make a p*** down the track if you want. That doesnt include the Facel Larry, too much oil clean up time.
