so i got a SW wings mechanical speedometer from speedway not too long ago, and i got the lokar cut to fit cable with it as well... the gauge was working fine for the first 50 miles. then the needle would only sweep to 40mph and stay there, then the odometer would roll and the needle would do nothing.

i thought the gear was maybe stripped in the ****** but there was no problem there

i know people think that these gauges are junk compared to the older ones,

so anyone else ever have a problem like this.. just looking for some tips before taking gauge apart..

    thanks

Make sure the square drive of the cable is inserted all the way. I work for Equus gauges and we see this problem quite often.

if the odo is working and the speedo is not, then it's not a cable problem.
