I have a Wings electronic speedometer in my coupe connected to a Tremec TKO500 with an integral electronic output. It calibrated perfectly the first time and reads correctly up to 65 mph. As soon as I exceed 65 mph it drops to zero and stays there until I back off to 65, then it goes right back to the correct speed.

I talked with a tech at SW and he said it sounded like it was getting more pulses than it could accept (100,000) so I talked to a tech at Tremec who told me the output was 17 pulses per revolution. At that rate I wouldn’t be anywhere near 100,000 so I talked to the SW tech again and he had me send it in to see if it was a firmware issue. They checked it out and said it had no issues.

    Any ideas?

I've had problems with SW Wings electric speedos in the past and never did get them solved. Since I went to using a GPS they seem to work better, extremely accurate out of the box.

@krylon32 are you using a SW GPS receiver with a Wings Speedometer?
