Well we are going to do it again...seems like every 2 years is all we can do a show/party. This year we will be having it in Vallejo at my shop and the lot across the street. We are lining up bands now and if anybody on here has any good (cheap too) ideas, we can use them. I have contacted the hypnotic IV from Sac...they are a surf band that was rockin last time we had a show. We could still use a opening band. There is going to be food available ...there's a pizza joint across the street (little pricy, but good food) and a taco truck on site...maybe more. It's all on private property and we won't be selling nuts this year (read that as BYOB)! I can send ya a flier if you email me an address...or Maybe I can get somebody with a scanner to post one....we will be giving out some trophies and we let in a variety of cars. We need a $10 donation(each car...not each person) to help cover the bands and the address is 33 1/2 Tennessee st. in Vallejo Ca. Probably run from 9-3 We are also gonna have a killer raffle this year...some painted and striped stuff, polished sbc intake....plenty more goodies....so look forward to seeing some of you there!
Here's a band you may can get Brewsir... Blazing Haley, well actually the Graveside Rockers! I got an email from Tiara today and she told me that they are NOT broken up! Here is the poop she told me: "Members of the Graveside Rockers are: Brian Lakey, BH guitarist, Chris Story, BH drummer and Dusty Graves, who is the singer, songwriter and stand-up bassist As for BH, they are not officially broken up. They don't play anymore, but I have had hints that they might, if the right event might come up. The Graveside Rockers have a profile on myspace, but do not have a website yet. They have an awesome sound and are faster than BH was. They might be playing the Primer Nationals after party at the Red Cove in Ventura." Hope that helps out, and if you need to get in touch with them, email me and I'll give you their email addy.
thanks Gracie...but we have not had much luck with the old blazing haley...we supposedly had them booked for our first show, fliers were made and we thought they were coming....but something else came up I guess....then we tried to get them for our second show and couldn't...so we will stick to somebody local...but thanks anyway!
Here's a smaller version of the flyer... In order to save on bandwidth, I posted a larger version with the maps Here.
I'll be there as well. Also, I hope you don't mind. I posted the flyer on the NOR CAL ROCKABILLY & HOT ROD EVENTS group. See my profile for the link.
I'll be heading out friday afternoon/evening depending on work. If I get there early I'll be sleeping in the lot on Tennessee street. Wake me up before people start arriving so I can get dressed. I'll be in the green Chevy.
