I shelved my 32 3 window project a few years ago because i was looking for the right wheels. I tried slots, steelies, and even those modern 12 spokes. I wanted late 60s style et mags. Well portland swap meet came through. I am very happy with the look, and now i will continue on with my dream build.
I've got a set of those I've been waiting for the right car to put them on. A lot of people try to emulate this look with those D spoke wheels but they just look wrong. They're kinda close, but the straight spoke makes all the difference.
Nice pun jalopy joker, the blower was something i had laying around, its the old one off of my 5 window. Most of the parts on this car are actually castoffs from my other car. It seems weird to be using all of the old stuff on the more valuable car, but thats how it is turning out.
I might be keen to take those ugly old wheels off your hands, in exchange for a few of our low value South Pacific Pesos. (also known as devalued NZ dollars) You wouldnt want to have the old rims around the shed causing you to have contaminated thoughts, so Im picking you wouldnt want to miss an opportunity like this The car looks great with the new rims too
The old wheels made their way onto another project. Thats the good thing about having to many cars. There is a home for every piece
There is something about the old five spoke wheels that just screams 60's hot rod, I have always been a fan of them and I think they are perfect on your coupe! HRP
