I am gonna go a little differant with this new car I am building, I am gonna try and swap out a mid eighties elcamino frame and partial floorpan. it is 117 inches and a chev is 115, after I lose two inches I want to channel it about three inches over the front half of the floorpan, I got an air system comming I hope soon. I think this will make for a nice daily driver, I chopped the fastback three inches in the front and tapered it to about 4 in the rear, the deck lid is the usualy **** part of the deal, but its looking very good. i have pics coming soon. I was hoping that someone else has done a floor pan graft other than the chopped and sectioned olds in a old rod and cust mag a few years ago. Any input will help. I know not old school, but I drive too and from in rush hour and my last two cars, the chopped 50 merc and the 57 ranchero were fun but wow was it a ***** to drive everday. P.S, P.B automatics sometimes gotta come into play. Anyone done a swap yet?

pretty much everyone on here will tell you not to do it. a buddy of mine who actually builds cars for a living in his opinion says it can work but theres alot of work to do it. my 50 chevy is on a 78 elco frame and first off the wheel base is a couple inches off but you dont notice too much. the radiator is gonna be a whole other problem. you might try to get one that resembles the stock one and have it re cored. either way im about to try the same thing but possibly with a cutl***. if you do it post some pics it would be pretty cool to see it get done
