Dumb question: did the pistons come with pins or did you have to use the old wrist pins? I've heard the stock wrist pin size is unavailable.

I don't know what the OP received but we have stock 0.921 pins available. The 0.927 GM pin is also a popular change.

we used the stock pins that came out of the flat top pistons .. different clips though.

sorry about the update guys .
but everything turned out beautifully with the 241 hemi with 10.1 forged high compression pistons from Venolia piston . check the video out of it idling.

this is one fine running SB hemi now . It has lots more hp and torque . runs smooth . throttle response is fast and has a different exhaust note thru the exhaust . It moves this 3600# 54 dodge convertible pace car with ease now.
It feels to have all the power of 241 cubes to 241 hp ratio now. 1 to 1 hp/cu in ratio.
who says "you can't make hp/tq with these baby red rams hemis ".

update on the 241 hemi :
running stronger every time I take it out.

the 241 hemi has approx. 1500 miles on the piston change. what an improvement in horsepower and torque. I am just amazed !

Not surprising. The 241 has a nominal C/R of 7.0-7.1:1, up on Webrodder they measured one that came out @ 6.19:1!
