The front sway bar is installed and makes a big difference in how the car handles. No more leaning in the turns and that feeling I'm going out the door is gone. The Southwest T-Bird kit was easy to install and had everything in it, including greasable bushings.
Buymeamerc, what year is your Merc. ? I have a 53 HT lowered 3" all around with the factory 5/8" front sway bar. I can not find an after market front sway bar that bolts into the stock position against the lower A arms. Everything offered has the eye on each end and the uprights with upper and lower bushings attached. There is no room to run this modern style sway bar and mountings on the 52-53 Merc's.
You can get rid of the slop you presently have with your stock rubber bushings and end links by going this route: http://www.energysuspensionparts.com/universal-sway-bar-bushings.asp and http://www.energysuspensionparts.com/universal-sway-bar-end-links.asp You can get these thru your local Pep Boys or Autozone usually overnight thru their warehouse and avoid shipping charges,just measure per the guide and provide them with the part numbers.
I know the product your suggesting is good stuff Jeff but the 52-53 Merc sway bar has no end links. The sway bar runs along the front channel of the lower A arm and clamps to it with a couple of U shaped clamps that are secured back onto the A arm with a nut & bolt. There is no room at all with my car lowered with the Aerostar coils to use end links on the lower A arms with the sway bar that you suggested earlier for the 49-53 Fords.

This looks interesting and may be possible to make work. This is what my sway bar looks like and there is no eyes with upright mounts for attachments.
