I have installed the mastercylinder and assembled most of the dash, the glove box doors and AC vents.
The Willys is coming together pretty nice, the steering column is installed and connected to the R&P. Rear fenders mounted with fender welting, tail lights hooked up, fuel filler finished and the American Rebel wheels are there.
Hey Tomastudor, I noticed that you guys across the water use what looks to be copper line for your brake lines is there a reason you use copper instead of steel line. I was always told that you should use steel line on brake systems. Just curious. 38 2 DR Sedan/Tony
i use them always, too, they go also by the name cu-ni-fer (for the ingredients copper, nickel and ion), they are very easy to bend over the thumb and non rusting. i still don't know what about the ion part
Thank You, I can see where they would be easy to work with, I do a lot of plumbing for people because I enjoy it and form it to fit and end up with a very nice job when it is done. great looking car, It will be nice to see it finished.
More parts installed on my Willys, the rocker panels, doors, the rear bumper and the front fenders are there.
I have been lazy posting pics of my Willys, have done the first test runs around the block and it works OK.
Congrats to your test drive! And this is a very Nice build Willys you have! Ps. Vad är det för fabrikat på fälgar du har?
Awesome Job. The color is stunning and everything looks well thought out. May I as what six wheel and tire combo you have tucked under those stock rear fenders. Thanks.
Tomastudor, I have another question. I have a 40 I've been trying to find a nice stainless replacement gas filler cap for and find nothing that small. We looked at ever cap 2 local parts stores had and nothing. Are you using the stock Willys tank filler neck. Would you educate me please. Thanks.
Sorry, I have looked through your build several times and had missed where you posted the wheel size. I just went through once more after I asked wheel size and saw you had posted it. Looks like they work great. I still am curious about tire size I seem to be only to get a 215/70-15 under stock fender openings as any other the tread catches the opening. You are very talented. Beautiful Car. Thanks.
I am using a Volvo gas filler cap which you can buy new here in Sweden, the top of the filler neck is Volvo and the rest is made from 2 1/4" header pipes. And thanks for your friendly comments.
