Can someone post pix and/or offer suggestions for wrecking yard procured hanging brake and hyd clutch pedals for my 37 Ford? I have fabrication skills and am looking for an easily adaptable set of pedals. I have disk brakes all around and hyd throw-out bearing. I prefer manual brakes ,but the word is that 8" booster is required. Anyone have success with non-power brakes on a 3000lb disk braked car?

    Thanks,

  2. I used a '52-'56 Ford car pedal ***embly in my '38 Ford pickup, much modified but the price was right (free) and I had it on hand. I'm running non-power brakes, front brakes and MC are '73-'77 midsize GM, rear brakes are the ones that came on the '74 Camaro rear end. The truck stops fine. The brake pedal arm is long enough that the leverage more than makes up for the lack of a power booster.

Not a HAMB car but I run manual brakes on a 66 Cutl*** convertible. Using 07 Corvette calipers and a 77 Malibu master cly it stops like crazy. Just make sure to size the piston size in the master to the calipers you are using and you will be fine.

My 37 has swing pedals off a 57 ford, 72 Monte Carlo frt . disc brakes, 72 Impala sta.wag. rear drums and a 72 Chevy 1/2 ton pickup master cylinder non p/brakes. It stops like p/ brakes with no pedal effort. I use a 57 Ford master cylinder for my hyd. clutch. You must reinforce inside of firewall to mount pedals, it's easy after you remove dash.
