We're restovating a 48 Lincoln which has body attached to frame, so rusted floor in top of frame area. I'm thinking a foot square cut and patch would repair. What gauge of steel to use? Any advice on how to do?
    Thanks

  2. You can use 18 but 20 gauge is sufficient. HRP

And if you go exploring, you might find that the area that should be repaired is quite a bit larger. At least that's how it works for me.

There are lots of threads here on floor repair, although it may be challenging to find them.
