Well then, let’s post some pics from the event. I was there for the day Saturday. Not everything there is on topic here, and not everything drew my interest to take a picture. There were reportedly 25K people at the event, lots of cars, campers, beautiful grounds, huge swap meet, bicycles, mini bikes, pinup, bands, and more.
I was there on Saturday as well. Im a little disappointed that they've expanded the campgrounds every year but never the show car area, if you come with a car on Saturday you're pretty much stuck parking on the road. There was some stuff inside that didn't really belong there but I don't begrudge the gate people whose job it is to decide what gets in. I actually did that job for years and it's brutal. People sneak cars in after being told no, and a lot of cars show up that are very borderline. Car owners love to argue, too. It'd be nice to see the focus shift more towards hot rods and customs and away from campground hijinks. We got there around 11 and were done by 4. Sorry if this was a bit of a thread hijack, thanks for the pics. I like the 34 3W, that one was really nice. Didn't see the 53 Vic when I was there but I wish I did, looked clean.
I went on the Thursday. It was a pretty nice day, Friday the weather prediction was for heavy rains. My wife only has Thursday and Friday off so it had to one of those days. She's not a car fan but I told her this isn't the typical car show. She liked the buildings and we got a soda in the bar. Drove my stock '49 Ford F-2, all county roads. Long drive in an old truck but was a fun drive.
I was there Friday and Saturday. Left my car at home this time. Wife raced in the vintage class of the minibike drags, as well as my bro & another friend. Only took a couple pics. here's one:
