I got us a block of 10 rooms at the Clarion Hotel on 7th North in Liverpool NY again this year. $99 a night.

Anyone who is looking for a nice hotel (with a free BBQ Thurs & Fri night ) room , PM me and I can give you the info on the rooms.

Its on the 'strip' for the show (not near Carrier Circle) and there is a killer restaurant nearby with TONS of food and cheap prices.

Lenny, as usual we'll be there - staying at the Knight's Inn right across from the Registration hotel. I'll have to look you up so we can swap some lies, or maybe, just maybe, some truths! Nah, no fun in that...

Lenny, do you like Amber Lager as that is my favorite and the one I am most likly to have. However, I'm also known to transport whatever comes in a dark brown bottle and sometimes with a clear see through bottle. A fellow has to be prepared, doesn't he????

I live here, but not planning to attend. Just as easy to cruise the hotel parking lots in the cool of the evening than to bake on all that tarmac.

not exactly true. It ws in the past but I know the Right Coast (who puts on the show) met with the chamber or hotels or something like that and many of them are cracking down on the 'cruising ' into their lots because their patrons end up with no where to park when they get back from the show.

And even if you could cruise all ove the place at night- you still wouldnt see 1/10th of the rides and things that are at the show....

OK guess I been doing it wrong all these years. Driving my 46 coupe I have never had any one try to shoo me out of a lot. Be sure to check out the Hemi powered Hudson sedan that always parks at the SW corner of the Poultry building.

Like Plym 46, I live here. No room needed. The nationals were just on Dennis Gage's show this weekend?

If people are going to meet, I would show up. I can only go one day, either Sat or Sun.

  25. Don't need a room here either, I live local. I haven't even gone the last few years, but a few of us are going to do the swap meet - the one out of town guy's bringing a '52 Yellowstone camper and staying right there at night.

Hopefully the spots are worth it - they're not bad if you figure one spot for three days, but they're smallish, you need to buy 4 or 5 to put out a lot of crap. I can fill one myself with just a half a load of my usual stuff.

Last year there were about 70,000 people as spectators- I guess if you average the cost of the space per person- they run pretrty cheap. Its also what you sell too- bring junk you thought you might just throw away and you probably end up taking most of it home. Bring stuff that is a 'good find' and someone will pay good cash for it.

I remember a few years back I brough a visor from my 56 Chevy- painted to match my car and all . It wasnt glass or a repro so that ws cool. Some guy saw one a few aisles down from where I was parked (a glass one) for $250. Offered me $500 on the spot for mine.

    Made my day :p

    - The show is a great time - and worth every penny you spend. So much to do its like Disney world for the car guy I htink.

If anyone does attend, stop by my booth to say hi- Ill be right where Jasper Transmissions was last year by the stage...
