Event Coverage Syracuse Nationals thread

  2. All I can tell you is from a sales standpoint in the swap meet it was a down year, very weak Friday, normal Saturday, and absolutely ridiculously dead Sunday. And I never had any trouble with traffic going in or out like in some past years. They still run everyone through the same gates, so that didn't change.

    They did, however fill every camper spot, because they oversold by at least one to a guy I know, sold him the spot only to have all available already filled.

    I bring some good hot rod (or even the dirty R-word) stuff and no one cares, no one seems to be building or looking to build a car. When you can't sell a Stromberg 97 carb, when one guy in three days even looks at it, something's off.

    Or else I'm in the wrong business, the Heid's of Liverpool hot dog stand had long lines all weekend.

    How many cars id they get his year? I know it gets bigger every year, the last time I was there they had over 5000 cars.

    Cars were said to be at 8,000. Not official yet though. Last year the number was 8,042.
