So discouraged i am not there!!

 

I just got home from the show had a blast as always . Lots of cars to drool over to the point of overload . Lots of great cars in the old school round up building . That being said I would have liked to get more information on the backyard build off competition. Specifically what do they win what criteria would a builder have to meet to qualify next year, budget and other rules. However the music was so loud you couldn't hear yourself think. Not that the bands or music was bad just waaaaay too loud. And I'm not the only one to say so almost everyone coming out had something to say about how loud it was. I tried to talk to the sound guy but he couldn't hear me trying to yell right next to him so he could hear me. 1/3 the volume would have been plenty loud .

 

We hot rained on today for about 1/2 hr and it came down hard but the temp was so much better.

 

The pictures of this Olds do it no justice you really have to see it to believe it. I just drooled over this and came back to it about 10 times.
Just couldn't get enough of it.
I am sure it will be in a mag soon if it hasn't already.

 

Yesterday was hotter than hell, today it poured rain for an hour, tomorrow what.. snow?

 

Haven't been since '01. What I noticed was the Sheriffs had a constant presence at the Holiday Inn. Is this what it usually is? Seemed to put a damper on the gathering there. Is there another hotel where something is going on?

anyone have anymore info on this black coupester? easily one of my favorites from the show. the owner didn't seem to know too much about it, said he bought it done.

 

he bought the car from a HAMBER on the west coast about a year and a half ago and then he re did some accessories and had the interior done and sold me the wheels for my current ride so he could switch to 15" set up on it now so he could run those caps . he has good taste in rides . the car in the pic is a coupester and is done quite well possibly the best conversion i have ever seen !!!

This has to be one of the nicest A's I've ever seen.

 

This was pretty wild.

 

I have no complaints, I sold well in the swap even with the rain and what seemed like a down crowd. 5:00 and no traffic jam at all leaving the grounds. No really big ticket stuff sold for me, but lots of little sales add up.


You get all kinds at this show, I guess. I happened to look up to see a guy strip off his toddler daughter's diaper in the middle of the swap, in a couple vacant spots across the aisle from me, and in one swift move whips it under the enclosed trailer next to them. Even though he was like 15 feet from a trash can. Then they gave her the older brother's shirt to wear so she's not completely naked, and carry on like nothing happened.

 

rustyNY, did you have a Gas Pump in back of your Truck ?

 

Just got in and Syracuse was unreal. Didn't really dig the post 64 stuff but we all have to get together. No r#% r&*s pictured here.
