t-10 4 speed # identification help

    just wandering what i have ,the tail shaft reads 5-25-64 so would that be the year? it also reads t10-72 w.g. div r2 and the case reads t10d-1 any info would be great,thanks h.a.m.b.
     
  2. Defiantely a T10 - that is the date code but there should be a letter in it. Its probably not from a chevy with a 64' casting date because the muncies were being used by then.

    Did they use T10's in AMC's?

    and yes the did use t10's in amc..
    64 still some b/w in chevy.

    input shaft is 7 inches from the case to the tip,and it is 10 spline,i still dont know what its out of ,ford maybe chevy?

    it has a chevy part number on the case, so it's probably from a chevy, eh?

    this is a later version of it. Notice the 4 mounting ears that stick out the sides of the case at the very front? that design is only used on GMs, so if it looks like that, it's a T-10 for a GM. not a ford or a dodge or a rambler or anything else.
