    I am posting this for a friend who is trying to mate a t-5 from a 1989 S-10 to a 1974 350.

He told me he beilieves it is a 14 tooth input shaft.

The problem he is having is finding the right clutch, and bellhousing to match the******* to his motor.

Other than spending $300.. plus fo an aftermarket kit does anyone know what he needs?

What parts are needed to make this work.

    Thanks in advance.

the 4.3 v6 used in s-10 is basically a small block chevy with 2 cyl.s cut off ...that 4.3 bell and clutch should work ...you cant use the fly wheel unless the motor is after 87 though cause of external balance , i think however it uses a hyd. throw out bearing ... 2.8 WILL BE DIFFERNT TRANS MIGHT BE THE SAME...????

Any chevy small block bellhousing should work...the t-5 pattern is the same as your generic 3/4 speed. The bolt holes in the trans will need to be enlarged to 1/2 inch. Not sure if the input shaft splines on the camaro t-5 are the same as the s-10, that would be one choice for the clutch. If that won't work try one for an Astor van with a manual trans....
