t-5 trans

picked up a t5 trans from a v6 camaro today after getting it home i did more studying to only find out this case is the ford bollt pattern i was wondering if anyone is making an adapter or bellhousing for this wc trans there is a ton of them out there.

 

The V6 tranny is not V8 friendly. Search T5 and look for all of Ernie's writings.

 

thats too bad i will have to make my own adapter hmm maybe there will be enough demand for these to make a few this is a wc transmission that are readily available for hot rodders

 

Is the t-5 an overdrive transmission?

 

Yep 5th is overdrive.

 

Billy o, if you are going to use this T5 behind a sbc , you should be able to use the V6 bellhousing,it has the same engine side bolt pattern. Wait that's only correct if it was a 4.3 V6,if it was a 2.8 ,you are back in the woods.

By 'WC' you mean 'World Class' right?

If so, its V8 friendly (may likely not have come from a V6 if it is a World Class T-5)

What do you want to adapt it to??

If SBC - you'll need either an AMC Eagle or Astro/Safari van bellhousing - both quite rare, but out there...check these threads:
