I'm back after a 20 year hiatus with a new project. I wish to convert the original transmission in my 1930 model A huckster to a T5. After reading multiple threads on the Ford Barn I know I need a trans with a Jeep CJ shifter extension--the shortest possible T5 configuration. I have found a trans with a casting no of 1352-065-904. It is advertised as a Jeep trans, but the number shows as a Ford NWC or Astrovan. Is it possible--even likely- that this unit was common to both Fords and Jeeps? My main interest is the shifter extension which has a casting no. of 1351-066-902. This no. is not listed on the web page I found (http://www.pro-forceperformance.com/t-5_identification.htm). I have a good S 10 trans to which I wish to attach the Jeep shifter. Corollary question--will the shifter extension from an AX Jeep trans fit onto a B-W T5?
If you are doing this to a stock type car check Miller High Speed Heads. Dan good T5 conversion parts plus he's a nice guy.
This T-5 guide on Novak Adapters should give you the info you are hunting https://www.novak-adapt.com/knowled...1pTxbkODlkQ_T0rPXDJdLtFxsyegcxtAnpK7OJD4Tb0gk Note that they sell an adapter to replace the T 5 in a Jeep with what most would see as an obsolete SM420 Muncie for rock crawling or back country driving. The info on the trans explains what you are looking for though.
