I have a stock 31 Model A complete running ch***is/engine. I plan to build a bare bones "speedster" so I need a cowl section. A guy locally has a 26 Model T body tub in usable shape for a nice price....
Will the t fit on the A without a lot of metal work?

It'll go without too much messing around. The thing to remember is that the "A" has a 3 1/2" longer wheel base over the "T"... Although in a typical speedster situation that shouldn't matter.

Yes it will work with minor modifications.
    I put a '26 T Coupester body on a Model A frame...
    Good luck..

Yup, you put that next space in the engine bay, for your early hemi.

Yes, it'll fit nicely. If the wheels need to line up with rear wheelwells (depends on what body you're using), a '40 spring behind style rearend might make up for the 3" different wheelbase. My '26 is on an A frame but with a '25 style turtle deck so there's no rear wheelwell to align.

The biggest problem is the pedals and firewall. I think it's best to forget the wheel well alignment. And position the body so the pedals will work with the firewall.

    These aren't great pictures, but it's a model t on a A ch***is.

Thanks, It's just going to be the front cowl mostly with the seats out in the open. If using a hood the A hood can be m***aged to fit ok?

  8. Tony, the T cowl is lower than the A radiator and shell. JW

Ohhh, the guy who owns the A ch***is has a new stock radiator.....Might be best to wait for an A cowl to come along...

  10. What year A is the radiator for? You could space the cowl up a bit, mine was spaced up before I got it and im just going to use a filler piece on the ch***is. JW

Personally I like T's on A frames, especially latter T's. Got any pictures?
