I'll bet his *** was clenching the seat hard enough it made seat belts unnecessary. Had a throttle hang up on a circle track car once. That's when I discovered with the belts on I couln't reach the kill switch. Ahhh, memories.

    Glad nobody got hurt.

    damn lucky...

But doesn't killing the ignition stop a blown engine as well? I think a lot of us have experienced a stuck throttle, seems to me you throw it in neutral and slay the engine to salvage your ***...

I feel bad for the guy but its still really ****in hilarious.
It's like when a friend does something stupid and gets hurt. You help them out, get them to the hospital, and then call them a ****head for the next year.

Can you imagine the emotions this guy must have gone through. I mean this wasn't a situation where he'd just dropped the motor in without a radiator, no interior or gl***, in primer "let's fire it up for the hell of it" kinda deal. This thing was DONE! He was probably so jacked to finally get it outa the garage, that super high feeling of accomplishment, then in less than a second to complete panic and helplessness. Then shock and anger. Then frustration, disappointment and finally depression. All in about a span of 30 seconds! Poor guy, just glad no one was hurt and hopefully some day he can laugh at it like some of us are now. I just hope he had insurance!
