Heres mine, kinda"New-stalgic".Very low budget, about $4500 in it.Put 42000 miles on it in 9 "rhode island" seasons. I love this thing, drive it eveyday to work when the weather permits, had it out Thanksgiving. Its a 400 sbc, carbs are all hooked up & a 350 tranny. JimV
Great post ,where you guys diggin up all the cool cars at. keep it comming and you know im just a T AND A kind of guy...................
If all goes well, $$$$ included, I'd like to use my 23' T roadster body to do a Tweety bird style hot rod sitting on an early style dragmaster chassis. The engine might be a 401 Buick with lotsa' carbs on it. I'd like to go with a gold-metallic based dark green paint job with a white tuck-n-roll interior and white engine block. Time will tell. I need to finish my current 27 T RPU project first! One thing for certain, I'll never allow "current trends" to effect my decisions on any of my projects! I'll build it for myself! ...might even run "cab-stack" exhausts on it. i've always liked the looks of that style exhaust when it's done well. Norm's 1st Kookie car had really cool cab stacks on it.
This car does it for me, I am looking to build something very like it in the future. Never was a fan of buckets untill I saw this,
This thing Flower built isn't exactly a "Kookie" or a "Tweedy Pie" kinda T, but it's still a T truck. It gets alot of miles on it here in SoCal.
Does anybody have any other pics of the Black And Copper colored one...Please Help out on this I love this car and would like to see some more pics on her./...Thanks, Ryan
Look up project $3k on Club Hot Rod, you can see it from the start. Anybody know what the wheels are on the turtle deck T?
i love t buckets! here are a couple i have built in my past and one i have now. the full hood one is a vw-t though. the flathead bantam is mine and the white t is my brothers. i built both of them. the blue one is what i just got done building. the thing is, if you build them short, like they were built in the early days, they ride pretty harsh, but the long ones are not very nostalgic to some people. either way, i like them all!!! there is nothing like the power to weight ratio of a t!!!! also, don't let anybody tell you can't drive a t bucket anywhere you want to. i drove the red one to the grand canyon and when i got back, it went to san francisco, pulling a trailer too!!
This might sound like a dumb question but what makes a "T-Bucket" a t-bucket and a "Modified" a modified? I'm working on a 26 touring I cut the back end off of. I have been thinking about putting a short pickup bed on for the battery and fuel tank (actually a bed off a 3 wheeled Cushman shortened to 18"). Does this make it a T-bucket
ithink a T-bucket is actually a messed up Henry J Model T a modified is a rod modiefied racey, wheels out... have you seen modifieds (Supermods FTW) today? i imagine these are the descendants of what modified style rods look like
Most would consider that a T Bucket. As was stated earlier, Norm G's bucket started out that way. That pickup bed seems to change everything.
