Drug this pos home the other day? I think it might need a few things? Does anybody have any parts for it?
Those rear wheels were 1934 Ford 17 inch originals. I found a guys who cut the bands off and welded back 15 inch x 8 inch wide bands to the offset I required and then he cut out the bolt center and welded a new ford car wheel stud flange pattern into the old wheel. Worked out nice and he did the fronts for me to. I have since had another set done using the 17 inch rims for starters and this time he cut them down to 16 inch x 7inch for rears and I kept stock 1935 stock 16 inch rims for the fronts, but he just cut the centers out again and gave me the ford car pattern as per the earlier set he did. I have lost track of him now but boy it was good while it lasted. They are all powder coated etc now and look a treat.
Very neat! Looks like he welded each of those spokes to the new rim? Mig or Tig? I turned a set of 16s into 15s by cutting the rest of the rim away from the drop center that was attached to the spokes and splitting 15" rims and welding the parts of the 15s to what was left of the 16s. I was afraid at the time to cut the spokes loose, but those wheels look real nice.
Here's a T coupe my buddy did as an old circle track racer. FH powered. It's a rude crude dude to ride in. but typical for the time. He also has an original '50s California built A roadster that was featured in Rod and Kulture last year.
