Saw a reference in another post about remove the toe kick area in a T floor to gain some room, however the pics (or the actual post - don't remember) were missing? Can anyone steer me towards this post of have any info on this modification? Getting me in our T is putting 10 pounds of stuff in a 5 pound bag...I can't even hit reverse or first in my neighbors T, I'm stuck cruising in 2nd and 3rd
I did this on my T RPU. There are a few pictures on my build thread, it involves removing the stock toe board supports on each side and building new ones that put the heel (bottom) about 3 1/2 " further forward giving a better foot angle and lots more foot room. When you sit up high like a buckboard wagon seat as the stock model T was built the stock foot -toe board angle is fine. Not so much when you sit down low in the body.
