T rear spring questions

I put a 27 crossmember in the frame I built because it looked stronger than the 25 crossmember I had.(less cleanup too)
I put the 25 spring (only one I have)in tonight and relized that it must have less leafs in it because it`s about 1/2" shorter than the crossmember pocket...easy fix.

My question is: why should I not run this spring...or should I? Is it the same width, will it give me problems? I have 27 springs avilable, should I go get one of those?

Whats your oppinion?.....prolly shouldnt have asked that!

BTW, its in a T coupe with a smallblock.
