I have an oval Model T style tank, reproduction. looking for a filter screen to go inside to protect the fuel pump. Maybe something that gets trapped by the fitting, or something along those lines.

Anyone know of something or done this?

    Any help appreciated! THANKS!

That's exactly what I have in mind, but I don't think it will work with these tanks. The outlet on the tank is a large NPT thread, 3/4 NPT, I think. But, YES! That's what I have in mind for sure.

Anyone have one of those screens shown in the link that could take some measurements off of it?

  4. How about motorcycle tank fittings with filters?

this is what came to mind too. i've seem petcocks with built in screens like that, you just gotta find one for a larger line.

Yeah, a petcock style screen is sort of what sparked the whole thought process, I guess. In fact, I'm debating on running a petcock on the bottom of the tank anyway, in case I would ever need to change a pump or filter on the road.

I know other people are running these tanks. What have you guys done for a pre-filter? And how about a period looking valve?
