I just spent a bunch of time searching, and frustratingly I can’t find it, but at one time I had a great picture of a heavily chopped, top-up T touring with no fenders. It was a great look.

On a stockish full fendered car, a top looks cool as hell all folded down at the ready - not so much on a fenderless touring though. one of my favoriye tops on a '27 was on Joe Mayall's car that he built in the pages of Rod action as the editor in the late seventies. It was a '28 '29 top chopped about 4 inches or so.

  4. Ooh - wouldn't mind seeing a picture of that. I'm planning on re-doing the top at some point and was thinking of measuring up some A irons to see what would work.

scored a complete top irons and usable wood for $20! I think its 22-25, so I'll have to make it work or sell it and find one for 26-27.
