Hot Rods T5 32 frame who's done it?

Thinking of installing a t5 in my deuce this winter.. I'm trying to figure out if I will have to modify my stock crossmember to do this? Has anyone out there done it without chopping up the crossmember?
Also it has the "A" rear end.. Does this complicate the open drive conversion?
