Technical T5 shifter position forward

    Sure would like to see a picture of the part your talking about!
    I wanna move my shift handle BACK some and shorten the throws. (like the Ken Block "M"-word videos on Youtube)
    Shortening the throws will be EZ but......would love to see a picture of the "pivot ball" you spoke of!

  4. Check out post #22, I used a steering rack arm as the pivot point.
    Didn’t run it but it shifted the gears nicely. Just a bit of R&D

Seems like the OP has disappeared but here in Oz all T5's used had the GM gearbox bolt pattern and the rear shifter.....T5's were used in both the Holden Commodore and Ford Falcons, all with the rear shifter..........Mal Wood Automotive in Qld have all the necessary bits to move the shifter forward or you can do what I did yrs ago and import an S10 T5 gearbox.........andyd
