Does anyone know if aftermarket electronic speedometers are compatible with the electronic output from GM T5 transmissions?

I don't know - The first place I'd check is with the aftermarket electronic speedo supplier. If no luck there, check with any of the major aftermarket speedo folks like United Speedometer Service or Williams Instruments - they should know. Be sure to let us know what you find out.

I used an output generator from Cl***ic instruments to power the speedo in Flower's T-Truck with the T-5. Our T-5 is a cable-type trans and the speedo was electronic so we had to produce some kind of signal. Now, that being said, I'm not sure if the output from the GM VSS signal generator is the same or not but the Cl***ic gauge is fully programmable and can easily be re-calibrated. I'd bet a dollar to a do-nut that it'll work just fine with the right calibration.

Yes they work well with PM Drives. I have one in my Mustang with Electric Speedo and a PM generator. They are the same as GM units.

I am using Auto Meter Electric speedometer with the T5 NWC electric output and no problems.

Thanks Vergil and everyone else for the input. I was hoping to be able to use the Autometer speedo with the T5 output.
