I didn't know if someone could tell me what the electrical connection on the side of the trans. was for. I was thinking reverse lights or neutral safety? Thanks

Check it with an OHM meter. If it makes in reverse its a back up light switch if it makes in neutral only its a safety switch.

Connector (if it has one) in the tailshaft is for electronic speedo. Connector on the main case is for reverse lights.
