I can't believe this. I sold my stock tires and rims to solo 909 and am looking for new tires for the front of my 56. I have TA radials on the back and want matching tires on the front. I have checked online for the past few weeks, even talked with Goodrich, there are no 225/60/15 TA's anywhere in the world.
According to Goodrich they are back-ordered with no plans to produce anymore for at least the next 4 weeks (that's all they have production info for) and no idea when or if they will restart production.
My last hope is Coker Tire, I will call them Monday and if they don't have them I guess I'll have to go with another tire. I've been running TA's on my cars for 35 years and I'm too old to change now.

A guy I work with just had the same problem finding a set of BFG 245/60/15's. We were amazed at that as well. He decided to buy another brand.

Did you try the Discount Tire website? If you don't find it listed call the closest location and have them do a store search for you,if you go to 205/60/15's (3/4" shorter) there are lots on ebay.

I would go with a 195-70 tire on the front. 225-60 is a awful big tire.

I got 225-70 on the rear and 195-75 on the front of my 54 and it looks good.

Jeff, yes, I tried them. I googled TA radials and contacted most sellers that were listed. A lot of sites list the tires on but don't have them in stock but will order them from Goodrich who doesn't have them either.
Paul2748, I had 215/70's on the front so this is just one size bigger. I'm going more for a hot rod look than custom, hence the bigger tires. I've got 235/60's on the back.

Well, if America would start producing Rubber again, then they wouldn't have to rely on Japan for the tires. Japan has no manufacturing anymore, since the quakes and sunamis, so no tires out of japan anymore. Goodyear and General Tire better get their **** in gear and fire up those 30 yr old machines !!!!
