    How do I wire up a tach on my points style ignition?

    what kind of tach? what color wires? need a bit more info than what you've given us Hombre.....

    Usually red to 12 volt power, black to ground, green to minus side of coil and white to light.

    Sorry bout that, I meant to ask about just the green wire! Thanks for the info!

    If it looks like this and you have a flathead Ford, I can tell you how I wired mine.

    Just put one on the model A. Just like the guy said, red=hot, black=ground, green=negative side of coil. Sometimes the light will have its own black/red wires like my AutoMeter tach.

    Depends on the brand/model of tach. Make sure you have the correct sending unit, if applicable.
