From time to time, I have correponded with members of this forum on the subject of Tachometers and engine swaps. It's fairly common that a Tachometer will no longer respond or read correctly, especially in situations where there has been an engine-swap that involves high-energy ignition systems, or where the engine cylinder count has changed. I found myself correcting a similar problem in one of my project cars and as a result of that solution have been making a little adapter product that has been helpful to many enthusiasts. Please check out my website www.AshlockTech.com for more info about my TACH-ADAPT product and a few other automotive specialty electronics items I make.
Where's the insult? I think he means the tachometers don't respond or read correctly, not the members.
bad wording...I though he meant the members too....but reading it again, I think he's talking about the tachometers.
Well, I sure didn't intend to insult anybody, but I guess it depends how you read my post. To be clear: It is the TACHOMETERS that don't "respond or read correctly" ... NOT the members or readers I correspond with.
Thanks for your help guys ... after re-reading it a few times, I agree that it was misleading. It's been corrected!
